Do I need to sign in? Sign in with Google to use built-in ChatVibes AI features. Free MCP access uses your own AI agent and does not require ChatVibes AI sign-in or a paid ChatVibes plan.

How do I open ChatVibes AI? Click the ChatVibes AI icon in Chrome's toolbar. It opens as a side panel next to your conversation.

What AI modes are available? Summarize, Draft Follow-Up, Reflect, and Free-Form Query.

Is MCP free? Yes. MCP access is free, with no ChatVibes paid plan required. Use your own compatible AI agent to interact with your chat portals. Your selected client or model provider may charge its own subscription or usage fees.

Can I connect my AI assistant? A Mac + Chrome preview connects the same extension through a separate local companion to compatible local tasks in ChatGPT desktop/Codex. Public download in preparation. The companion installer and client setup are still being packaged; this is not a public ChatGPT directory listing. See the preview and current limitations.

What can it access? You explicitly choose platforms and selected conversations, or allow all conversations on those platforms. Reading and capture have separate permissions. Available history depends on what the messaging website exposes and the extension has captured; a complete account archive is not guaranteed.

Can it send messages? No. Sending is unimplemented. Draft insertion is experimental and is not a supported preview feature.

Does MCP require Google sign-in? Local MCP controls do not require ChatVibes AI sign-in. Your messaging sessions must already be signed in, and your chosen AI client has its own access requirements.

How can I ask about early access? Email pairandpivot@gmail.com with your Mac and AI client details.

These plans apply to ChatVibes’ built-in AI service. You do not need them to use free MCP access with your own AI agent.

What's the difference between Free, Plus, and Pro?

How do I upgrade? Open Settings inside the extension — upgrade buttons appear based on your current tier, or click any locked (🔒) mode.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription? Contact pairandpivot@gmail.com or manage via your Stripe billing portal.

How do I delete my account? Email pairandpivot@gmail.com to request deletion of your server-side data (Firebase account, usage records, Stripe subscription).

Are my messages stored on your servers? For built-in AI analysis, conversation content is processed in memory and forwarded to Google Gemini; it is not stored on ChatVibes servers. Optional MCP access returns authorized data to your selected client, which may retain it or send it to its own model provider.

Where is my data stored? The extension's cache and AI history are stored locally using Chrome's IndexedDB and local storage. An independently selected MCP client and its model provider have their own storage and training policies.

Do you sell my data? No. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or train AI models on it.

How do I delete my local data? Open Menu > Saved Conversations to delete cached chats, or Menu > AI History to delete AI threads. Uninstalling the extension removes its browser data. The separate MCP companion must be uninstalled separately. Revoking MCP access stops future requests but does not remove copies already received by another client.

The extension isn't reading my messages. Make sure you're on a supported platform and have opened a specific conversation (not just the inbox). Try refreshing the page.

AI features aren't working. Check that you're signed in (Settings page). If you're on the free tier, you may have hit your daily limit.

The side panel is blank. Open the extension icon from a supported messaging platform tab — the panel is tab-scoped and won't show content on other sites.
